Danni Wyatt-Hodge traded to RCB from UP Warriorz
Aggressive England opener Danni Wyatt-Hodge will play for defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the next season of the Women's Premier League after being traded from the UP Warriorz in an all-cash deal.
The 33-year-old was signed up by the Warriorz for INR 30 lakhs at WPL 2024 auction but didn't feature for the UP franchise, who finished fourth in the five-team league stage. Wyatt-Hodge will move franchises at her existing fee. Wyatt-Hodge is yet to make her debut in the tournament.
She brings forth a wealth of international experience with her, having featured in as many as 164 T20I games, scoring 2979 runs at a strike-rate of 127.85. This includes 16 half-centuries and two centuries.
"Danielle is a game-changer and a phenomenal athlete," captain Smriti Mandhana said in RCB's statement. "Her skills and competitive spirit align perfectly with our team's vision. We are excited to welcome her to the RCB and look forward to the energy she will bring to the squad."
