No QB made the top 10.

The Madden 26 rollout is in full swing, and one day after releasing their 99 overall club, the video game dropped their top ranked rookies in the game.

It’s no surprise that Hunter is the top rated rookie in this year’s game. He was the number one overall prospect on many people’s draft boards and his body control plus football instincts make him a slam dunk top prospect. Ashton Jeanty at an 83 also isn’t surprising at all, he was one of the three best prospects in the entire class.

What really stands out is the fact that there’s no QB on the top-10, namely Tennessee Titans’ first overall pick Cam Ward. He’s the top rated QB (for obvious reasons), but he’s also only a 72 overall, way outside the top-10. It gets worse from there, with the second best rookie QB in Madden (New York Giants’ QB Jaxson Dart) topping out at a paltry 68 overall. It fits with this QB class not being as strong as many recent years, but still pretty surprising to me (also: notice Shedeur Sanders is above Dillon Gabriel).

Madden is never a good excuse to make judgements about players or the game overall (unless you’re the New York Jets), but seeing what developers think of the prospects is pretty fascinating. I’m sure we’ll all be level headed about this.
