The Bulls had the saddest, most appropriate graphic of all time

Welp.

It’s been a brutal period for the Chicago Bulls. Over a decade since they won their division, the Bulls are never bad enough to secure a top draft pick and land a superstar, and never good enough to truly contend for anything other than an early playoff exit.

On Wednesday night the local broadcast of the Bulls game encapsulated it perfectly.

Probably a sign your team is not in great shape when your local broadcast is showing graphics like this. pic.twitter.com/vGt69TmbLk

Spot the lie. Look, the Bulls are fine, but that’s the issue. They’re constantly “fine.” For years they’ve hovered around .500, made the playoffs a couple of times, but never moving forward or backwards — the endless Sisyphean Torment of the NBA.

Still though, I don’t know if you need to say so matter of factly like this. It just feels cruel.

Anyway, the Bulls managed to beat the Orlando Magic 102-99 on Wednesday night, taking their season record to 3-2 on the year. A record which is … fine.
